Rubys Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Puppies 24Feb2024 IMG 5204 How is it that these things happen? What puppies will get up to... lol :) This recent video was taken on Saturday when the female got a toy stuck over her head while I had been cleaning the kennel. I had moved away to wash the pee pad tray and upon returning found her with it still stuck around her neck but not in any way going to hurt her.  You can see the Ruby male trying to contain himself but not quite able to, as they always want to see what I have in my hands... even if it is something they know does not ever come to them such as my camera... still they want to see what it is I have ...  :)  He is trying valiantly to calm his excitement enough to sit... what they have to do to get a treat.... or to possibly get that thing I am holding up... that just might be a treat for them!  :)    Although I never hold out a treat for them just out of their reach... I hold it inside my hand and out of view until I have the command responded to correctly and then slip it from my hand into their mouth.  It is too hard, I think, for a dog to see the treat and concentrate on the commands you are asking of them at the same time... so the command and signal is given with the treat held hidden in my hand until the response is given correctly.   It is very hard to get a video of the pups playing as if I move at all, the focus is on me and what I am doing... the nature of the breed... whatever I am doing is what they want to do ... they just want to be with me and doing anything that I am involved with so they stop all cute behavior they have been doing... other than weird sleeping postures... lol  :) To become the proud new owner of this lovely Ruby Male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel please contact [email protected]
