#bengalclassicalmusicfestival Born in Sylhet, Supriya Das was introduced to music by her mother at the age of four. A turning point came in 2000 when she started taking lessons with Pandit Ramkanai Das. He tutored her until his death in 2014. For a while she also learnt from Rezwan Ali. In 2012, Supriya Das was chosen to perform in the first edition of the Bengal Classical Music Festival and to groom her for the presentation, Bengal Foundation arranged for her to train briefly with Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar in Kolkata. Following the inception of the Bengal Parampara Sangeetalay in 2014, Supriya has been a scholar there and continued training under Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar. Supriya Das’ performance at the Lakshyapar Classical Music Conference at Narayanganj, the Daily Star’s Celebrating Life concert at Jahangirnagar University, and at the Bengal Classical Music Festival in Dhaka, among others, have earned her considerable praise. Supriya is an empanelled classical and Nazrul Sangeet artist of Bangladesh Betar. Currently pursuing an MBA at SUST, Supriya Das aspires to spend her life in the learning and pursuit of classical music.
