Enter the competition at / 2012backmeup More than 300 kids took the chance to hear BackMeUp Campaign Ambassadors Ruby Rose and Cody Bell launch the Commission's anti-cyberbullying campaign on 19 June in Sydney. Ruby Rose told students at Sydney Secondary College to get snazzy with their phone cameras and get involved in this online video competition to show support for someone who's been cyberbullied. Ruby said being bullied at school for not fitting in made her life miserable. She told a captivated audience how she would come to school where a wall dedicated to bullying her and calling her names made her severely depressed. But, Ruby said, one day she came to school and someone had backed her up -- countering the abuse with other notes on the wall saying she was 'lovely' and rejecting some of the more hurtful names that'd been written on the wall. She said these 'friends' backing her up was the reason she was here today. Australia's Got Talent contestant Cody Bell, who's also overcome bullying to become an up and coming singer, performed and later answered questions about bullying from the crowd.
