This sweet little baby quilt has a subtle color palette, and graphic piecing, so it’s important to choose a freemotion quilting design that’ll highlight but not overtake. And Minky-style backing is loved by many, but also feared by many quilters. It has a great deal of stretch so it’s important to manage that well, in order for the finished quilt to lay flat. Also, at the end I’ll share a genius tip for trimming up the finished quilt WITHOUT getting Minky fuzz everywhere. The quilt is still in the mail to me! Fingers crossed it gets here in time, but if not, I'll swap in another project. There'll definitely be quilting!
