Napoleon Dynamite (2004) Fox Searchlight Pictures. Rico longs to go back in time and change his fortune, even buying a "time machine" from the Internet in an attempt to return to 1982. Napoleon Dynamite is a 2004 American independent comedy film co-written and directed by Jared Hess and Jerusha Hess and stars Jon Heder as the eponymous character, Napoleon Dynamite. The film was Jared Hess's first full-length feature and is partially adapted from his earlier short film, Peluca.
