While Netflix, Disney Plus, Hulu and other streaming services are raising their rates and Prime video is now displaying advertisements - we're stuck questioning what are we even paying for? It used to be convenient to just go on a streaming platform and pick up any movie you want... but the thing is now, there are so many of them, that it's basically become cable 2.0. Even though there's more services than ever, it seems like a lot of movies are being lost to time, never to be seen again. That's why it was important for me to reclaim my relationship with physical media and build a library of movies that I get to keep forever. This is a video about my journey in getting there.
