Dear viewers and listeners, thank you for visiting my channel. I wrote this piece in May 2024 for the purpose of submitting to the 2024 BIS Composition Competition. This recording is taken from a Recital on the 17th June at Sherborne Abbey. Any feedback and tips for improvement are warmly welcomed! The tune ‘Cross of Jesus’, is usually set to the words of the Advent hymn, ‘Come Thou Long Expected Jesus’ by Charles Wesley, and so I have tried to capture the longing and awaiting tone of the words along with the intimation of something great yet to come.
