Taking the metro in the North East area of Barcelona travelling south from Ciutat Mediana (L11 metro stop) and leaving the L11 - light green line and transferring to the L3 dark green line. The direction is still south and the destination is "L3 - Zona Universitària. This metro station had a choice of the L3 dark green line or L4 yellow line, both going south into the dryer of Barcelona city. ⚠️⚠️When taking the metro always always always watch for the COLOUR (& #) and the FINAL DESTINATION (i.e. direction) of the metro line... otherwise you can get lost.⚠️⚠️ During the day at the metro stations ask metro employees for directions (and for metro maps) as to where you are going if you are unsure. Personally I would NOT ask any person taking the metro, for personal safety. There are a lot of pickpockets and thieves in Barcelona. Although, if it is a family with young children I would take the chance. It is wise to try to *not stand out as a tourist at all times, so I do not carry my map out in the open and am very discreet when asking for directions. Another tip I received from people (and did help me) is to go to a shop or a restaurant and ask for directions. Obviously you want to go to someone who appears friendly and helpful. 🎒It is a good idea to have your backpack or purse in front of you at all times. 📲 Be cautious when using your cell phone in public, as I spoke with locals who had their cell phone grabbed out of their hand and stolen. One thing I would do is stand in front of a business or in a corner of a building before pulling out my cell phone and be sure no one is walking close to me and no one can come up behind me. Barcelona is a fantastic city and I 👍😍❤️love❤️ Barcelona, but you do need to take precautions. Stay safe! 😍😘
