The most influential motocross racer of all time, Roger De Coster, won 5 World Motocross Championships racing for Suzuki in the 1970's. In 1980 he went to the Honda HRC team. And in his final race, the Luxembourg Grand Prix on August 10, 1980, he won in dominating fashion. There was also a battle at the race for the 1980 World 500cc title between Belgian Andre Malherbe and American Brad Lackey. Malberbe clinched the championship on that day, and Roger moved to the USA to begin his career in Management. He is now Senior Motorsports Director at KTM Group USA.
