During the colonial period in Africa, the Belgian Congo witnessed a movement that is now known as Kimbanguism. It was a form of opposition to the Belgian colonial rule in the area. The Kinbaguists are members of a religious group founded by Simon Kimbangu. This activities did not go down well with the Belgians. This led to the arrest of Simon Kimbangu.
