THE WOLF | Werewolf Horror Short Film

A love letter to the goofy horror flicks from the 1980's we grew up with. A drunk city boy missed the last bus ride home at night and decided it was a good idea to take a shortcut through the dark, dense woods of Torup, Sweden. It was not a good idea. In Nordic folklore, werewolves were said to be men who put on enchanted clothing made out of wolfskin. This way, they could voluntarily shapeshift into fierce beasts on the battlefield (also known as "berserks", roughly translated to "wearer of bear clothing") or gain egotistical power over villages through fear and murder. But some were cursed (usually by trolls) into werewolves, never to become human again. The human never truly went away, however, as a slain werewolf hid the human body within. In this short film, it's unclear whether the werewolf is cursed or made manifest of own free will, it simply is a beast prowling through the night looking for prey.
