PC Engine forever!! ----------------------------------- メガドライブミニ2にも収録されている、セガの名作アウトラン。 久々のメガドライブとの対決。どちらも良い感じの移植ですね。 PCエンジン版は海外版が元になっていますので、コースの構成が少し違います。その為、 メガドライブ版のSTAGE2はそれっぽい所から持って来て繋げてます。 メガドライブ8Mbitに対し、PCエンジンは半分の4Mbitで移植されています。容量が半分の割にPCエンジン版が健闘しています。 メガドライブはサイドの海や砂漠、空を覆いつくす雲の再現が凄いですね。この再現の為に、スピードメーターやらは画面の上に表示しているみたいです。恐らくスプライトの横並び回避ですね。 メガドライブ版は自車のドット絵を変えちゃってるので、色味がイマイチですね。背景についても色数が足らない為か、ドットパターンでグラデーションを書いているので、ザラついちゃってますね。ブラウン管で見る事を想定しているので、当時は綺麗に見えていたはずです。 後、背景の動くスピードが早すぎで、現実だとUターンしちゃうぐらい回ってます。スピード感を出すか、単なる調整ミスか。 サウンドはどちらも良い感じですね。メガドライブ版もエンジン音をON/OFF出来る仕様だと良かったですね。エンジン音は見ている分には無い方が曲に集中出来ますが、プレイしていると、音の無い映画を見ている様で妙な感じです。 今回はMAGICAL SOUND SHOWERの他にPASSING BREEZEも収録しました。 ----------------------------------- Sega's masterpiece Outrun. The Mega Drive version seems to rewrite the dot picture of your own car, so it's not good. Perhaps because the number of colors is not enough, the gradation is drawn with a dot pattern, so it looks rough. Since it is supposed to be viewed on a cathode ray tube, it should have looked beautiful at the time. Both sound good. It would have been nice if the Mega Drive version could also turn on/off the engine sound. If you don't have the engine sound, you can concentrate on the song, but when you play it, it feels like you're watching a movie without sound.
