Ahead of making his West End debut in The King & I, Academy Award & Tony Award nominated Ken Watanabe shares his excitement for the production and his role as 'The King of Siam'. Due to phenomenal demand, the multi-award winning and critically acclaimed Lincoln Center Theater’s production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King And I has extended its engagement for a final three weeks to Saturday 29 September at London's iconic Palladium. This is the very last opportunity West End audiences will have to see the Broadway stars reprise their original roles on the London stage. Five extra matinees on Thursdays (30 August, 6, 13, 20 and 27 September) have been added to the London Palladium performance schedule. This follows continued unprecedented demand for tickets, with early performances already sold out Making their West End debuts are the original Broadway stars; reprising her Tony Award-winning performance and ‘Broadway musical’s undisputed Queen’ (The Sunday Times), Kelli O’Hara (Anna), Tony and Oscar nominee Ken Watanabe (The King), and reprising her Tony Award-winning performance, Ruthie Ann Miles (Lady Thiang).
