Lord of Blasphemy? Nah, Lord of BS. There's a few tactics for beating him, but the double crouch-pokes are the best in health and poise damage. Dual-wielding crouch attacks are done by pressing down on the left thumbstick and then pressing L1/LB when you have weapons of the same type equipped in each hand. I crouch-attack with Lstick, L1, Lstick L1 etc. until Rykard's poise is broken, and then I two-hand the Serpent Hunter by pressing Y+LB or Triangle+L1 to then perform the full LT/L2, LT/L2 ash of war combo in phase one; only use the first LT/L2 in phase two to keep him stunned-locked and avoid the honing skull spam mess (see the 4:30 time mark). Crouch attacks come out quickly and help you reset out of attack animations faster. My Dex Only run had me looking up various methods but they weren't consistent enough until I changed my positioning in the arena. You can become more powerful with additional buffs and levels; I wanted to demonstrate the minimum attack power necessary to script his first phase with the right positioning and RNG. There's many ways to defeat this enemy, and if you're one of the few who struggle to replicate this, then try something else that's less taxing on you.
