Korg Pitchblack Advance PB AD overview unboxing

I didn't find a good enough video and had to take the plunge so here's my contribution. Most latest-gen tuners are around the 100-dollar mark. This Korg unit was slightly cheaper at the time I picked it. I'm a bass player with a low B. To sum up my experience: The unit tracks fast and well down to low B. It's fast enough that the time it takes to be in tune is the time you spend moving your tuning pegs. You will be able to check and fix strings you are suspicious about in between songs (5 to 10 seconds.) Its -/+0.1 cents accuracy is more obvious in strobe mode. I would, and I will, calibrate intonation in my basses with this pedal. It is that accurate in my opinion. Regular mode is still very accurate, it tells you are within acceptable intonation but still flashes a little red above or below with the slight modulations you might make moving, fretting hard or plucking hard. The pedal is dead quiet and clear but beware patch cables, they may let noise into your signal as you probably already know. If you need a buffered pedal look elsewhere, like TU3 or Polytune3. If you want bypass and mute this is on spot for less. You don't need to lose your head over those talkbass threads that always turn to a battle between turbo tuner and Peterson's whatchamacallit.
