Amongst all the lessons that I took away from my Olympic career, there is one that is still present in my life; get out of your comfort zone and live your dream. Theresa is a female executive, fluent in 4 languages, and also the only Spanish female athlete double Olympic Champion. After her retirement from Olympic life in 1998, she launched the Ecomar Foundation, of which she is the executive president. She has been an international consultant for UNESCO on issues related to sport, a member of the European Parliament, and vice-president of the Education, Culture, and Sport Commission, and 1st vice-president of the Spanish Olympic Committee.
