Today we will create a leather holster. This style of leather gun holster is an easy build and a great beginner project. I call this style of holster The Woodsman. I think of it as the practical gun holster that was carried by many while settling the wild countryside. This flap holster does a great job of protecting the revolver and yet having it when you need it. Gun holsters can be made in many styles. This is holster is nice as it allows a person to use what works well for them. This flap gun holster is made from veg-tan leather and could be customized easily with tooling or other decorative processes. I used an oil finish on this project. The leather that I am using was purchased from Montana Leather. This piece of leather is veg-tan leather tanned by Sepici Leather from Turkey. I like how the leather works. The leather seems to have less flaws than I am used to from other tanneries. Thanks for watching my video today.
