Stand Like a Champ: The Ultimate MMA Fighting Stance Tutorial!

In this video we will look at some of the important aspects of stance and the reasons why they hold such importance. In my opinion the most important things to consider when constructing a stance are: 1. Foot placement: Everything starts from the ground so the most important part is where you put your feet. We need length and width in our stance, meaning we need balance linearly, forward and back add laterally, left and right. 2. Shoulder positioning: our lead shoulder needs to point towards our opponent. Our lead shoulder being the shoulder of our weaker arm. If you are right handed your left shoulder goes in front and if you are left handed, then your right shoulder goes in front. Your shoulders should be elevated, and your chin tucked in order to create a defensive shell around your jawline. 3. Hand positioning: your backhand should be organized with the knuckle of your thumb in the corner of your mouth. This is mainly because it is directly between the locations it needs to be in order to block the left hook and the straight jab. Your lead hand should frame your hairline, almost making a salute so that you are able to see your opponent underneath your fingers. 4. Angle of the feet: the toes need to all be pointing in the same direction. Point the toes of your front foot at a 45° angle to your opponent and give the same angle to your back foot. 5. Weight placement: place your weight in the middle of your feet. Do not put all your weight on the front leg nor all your weight on the back leg. Stay in the middle. Your weight placement heel to toe should be directed toward the balls of your feet. Keeping your weight on the balls of your feet will allow you to move in and out of range of your opponent quickly and easily. Flat feet allow you great balance, but it is very inefficient and ineffective to attempt to do that while moving. 🚨 Get my SECRET Training Vid On SHUTTING DOWN Annoying Wrestlers!⬇️ https://kajan-johnson.mykajabi.com/jo... ⬅️ If you don't already know, my name is Kajan Johnson.
