कीर्ति चक्र से सम्मानित शहीद कैप्टन अंशुमान के परिवार को इंश्योरेंस का पैसा मिल गया है. आर्मी ग्रुप इंश्योरेंस फंड से परिवार को 1 करोड़ रुपए दिए गए हैं...ये रकम अंशुमान के माता-पिता और पत्नी स्मृति सिंह में आधी-आधी बांटी गई...वही शहीद की पेंशन उनकी पत्नी को ही मिलेगी क्योंकि अंशुमान ने उन्हें ही नॉमिनी बनाया था. भारतीय सेना के मुताबिक़ आर्मी की तरफ़ से पेरेंट्स को 50 लाख और पत्नी को 50 लाख रुपए दिए जा चुके हैं. इसके अलावा UP सरकार ने भी परिवार को 50 लाख रुपए दिए थे. इसमें से 15 लाख माता-पिता और 35 लाख रुपए पत्नी स्मृति को दिए गए थे. इसके बावजूद शहीद के पेरेंट्स ने कहा था कि वित्तीय सहायता के नियमों में बदलाव होना चाहिए. ऐसे मुद्दे आर्मी के सामने पहले भी आए हैं, खासकर तब जब शहीद के माता-पिता उन पर आश्रित होते हैं, लेकिन आर्मी यूनिट ऐसे मुद्दों को निपटा लेती है.
