A follow up to the first etymology video in which we look at what lore secrets the names of the dragons reveal, as well as the inspiration behind Farum Azula. This was started before as part of a video looking at characters' names, but ‪@VaatiVidya‬ new video on the storyline of the dragons has inspired me to revisit it. As always, FromSoft are uncompromising in their commitment to well-rounded lore, and the dragons' names are a mix of classical and mythological references carefully chosen to subtly reinforce what we see upfront in game. No doubt we will see the same attention to detail in the upcoming DLC, but until then let me know what Elden Ring lore you'd like me to look at next!
