1993 Diehard 500 final (7) laps plus post-race interview. Kyle Petty runs up front with Earnhardt and Ernie Ervin waiting for the right time to make a move. With 4 laps to go, a dip to the inside, with help from lap traffic, opens the door. Ervin gets a slight lead on Earnhardt on the final lap, but with some nifty side drafting at the end, the #3 feels the wind and inches ahead by a sliver to win. Somehow today, I expect 3 cautions and a green-white-checker, but not back then. It is as if the drivers knew how to drive the dang cars. The more these old races I watch, the more I appreciate the era.
