I still am using the original brake pads and front tire. The 20 inch rear bicycle tire ( https://amzn.to/3lBSvjw ) has been changed 2 times over the past 12 years. The headset needs tightening every 2 years or so. Some of the first upgrades to my Dahon Mariner was a more comfortable saddle , I got a Schwinn Comfort Seat ( https://amzn.to/3xJjb6O ) as it is more of a upright seat with elastomer rubber bumper suspension and well supported and padded cushion over the original Dahon seat. The draw back is the heavier weight of the new seat. I upgraded the kickstand to a GreenField Kickstand ( https://amzn.to/3rCYpEW ) for the bike as the longer led was more stable than the original. An aluminum water bottle cage ( https://amzn.to/3rKd6ps ) and Catseye Bike computer ( https://amzn.to/3IkWSJk ) was added next. Overall this has been a great lightweight folding bike that has traveled with me in my car, mass transit, lunch rides, and out of the county.
