Narrated by Daniel Avinash Little Gidding is the fourth of four poems, collectively known as 'Four Quartets', written in 1941. The name "Little Gidding" originates from a small Anglican community in Huntingdonshire, established by Nicholas Ferrar in 1625 and scattered during the English Civil War. Eliot had however no direct connection to this Anglican community. As such, the name "Little Gidding" is supposed to represent almost any religious community. Eliot divided "Little Gidding" into 5 Movements: (0:12) Movement 1: Time (4:04) Movement 2: Experience (10:08) Movement 3: Purgation (13:22) Movement 4: Prayer (14:20) Movement 5: Wholeness These 5 themes resonate throughout all his Four Quartets.
