But whether you played Code One Dispatch, Police 911, Silent Scope or GTI Club...you had to own real arcade hardware because these retro gaming hidden gems did not emulate in MAME! Until today! Work has restarted on MAME arcade emulation for the Konami Viper...and some games are "playable" today! Retro games MAME glory time! Its big MAME news on the MAME emulation front. and last week members of my Discord (Hydreigon223 and ZMXL5ON5) improved Konami Viper emulation in MAME with new control setups! (link below) Last year I gave you a tour around the Konami Viper; a 3D powerhouse of an arcade PCB from Konami that ran on a PowerPC processor with 3DFX GPU hardware inside. It's like arcade hardware mixed with gaming PC hardware...so its def a PC Gaming video lolol. It is one of the last platforms that Konami used in arcades before switching over to PS2 hardware for arcade cabinets...and the real time clock chip LOVES TO FAIL! But like all things retro gaming...we can fix it! or now...emulate in MAME! So now we can play Mocap Boxing, Thrill Drive 2, GTI Club 2...and more!
