Disney Channel Express Yourself Commercials (Set 1)

Express Yourself was pretty much about getting to know the kids you saw every day on TV. The first generation of Express Yourself (filmed sometime in 2000) first aired from early 2001-September 2002 with the 1st set of shorts including stars from Disney Channel shows and DCOMs such as: The Jersey (Courtnee Draper, Brianne Prather, Jermaine Williams, Michael Galeota and Theo Greenly), So Weird (Eric Lively, ‪@AlexzJohnsonOfficial‬and Patrick Levis) Even Stevens (‪@christycarlsonromano‬ and ‪@shialabeoufofficial‬ ) Lizzie McGuire (‪@HilaryDuff‬, Lalaine and Adam Lamberg) Famous Jett Jackson (Lee Thompson Young), Kirsten Storms (Zenon) and Shadia Simmons (Quints and Zenon: The Zequel). There was also a parody wave with the Zoog characters from Disney Channel's website. Topics included: 9/11 Role Models Family Friends Clothes/Fashion School Music Favorite Actors/Actresses Girls/Boys Sports Favorite Holiday Hobbies Alexz Johnson sings a part of her song that's featured in the DCOM "The Other Me" Lee Thompson Young Freestyles Rap After the terrorist attacks of 9/11, Disney filmed multiple "Express Yourself" shorts with their stars and actors/actresses outside of Disney Channel, like Melissa Joan Hart, Beverley Mitchell, ‪@TiaMowrysQuickFix‬& ‪@tameramowryhousleyofficial‬, Frankie Muniz (Miracle in Lane 2), Bryan Cranston, ‪@whoopigoldberg‬, Paula Jai Parker, Kyla Pratt, The Lawrence Brothers and even the former 1st Lady Laura Bush. Another mini-wave came in Spring 2002 with stars of Lizzie McGuire discussing ways to help in their communities sponsored by the Disney Adventures magazine. (A short in this same vein but featuring the stars of That's So Raven followed in Spring 2003.
