A hot July day in the Las Vegas Valley, one in a string of hot days...there's only one solution: head up the mountain to find some cool air! Lucky for those of us who call Las Vegas home, as well as you who visit, the alpine wonderland of Mount Charleston is less than 45 miles from the Las Vegas Strip, and always 20 or 25 degrees cooler than the city. Come along with us on a morning drive, up to the top of Kyle Canyon Road, and breakfast at the rustic Mount Charleston Lodge.
