Well, it's finally here! Sony Pictures Television History version four. One hour, eleven minutes and six seconds of intricate, fast-paced animated history. You may feel the need to pause it from time to time, because it's hard to grasp all the action as it happens. It's not perfect. The order of dates sometimes is slightly messed up (e.g. May 29 2000 followed by May 27) and there are a few visual artefacts here and there. Also, from 2004 on, a lot of in-name-only units are removed from the screen even though they still technically exist within the SPT structure - this was to make it easier to animate and keep the more important parts clear. Overall though, I think it gets the message across and it is by far the most comprehensive documentary on this subject. There will be no more SPT history videos. I have given too much of my life already to this project, and I could not bring myself to start all over again for at least ten years! However, I may make a relatively simple video in the future to "fill in the gaps" of this one, covering Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and Columbia and TriStar Pictures.
