Back in the 50's and 60's, resorts were a dime a dozen and were popular among vacationers on the east coast. For those who weren't into the big lavish resorts or wanted something more affordable came to places like this. This 1950's motel with private cottages was the perfect get away for people who just wanted a break from everyday life. Although far from luxurious and what it lacked in amenities, it made up for with peace and quiet while still being close to home.
