Roundabout: Sheffield's Youth Homeless Charity

Roundabout is Sheffield's youth housing charity providing shelter, support and life skills to over 150 young people everyday who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We started in 1977, with just a 3 bed hostel and an outside toilet! Now, we provide emergency accommodation at our hostel for 27 young people aged 16-21, a range of medium term accommodation throughout the city and we support young people to live independently in their own accommodation, who might otherwise struggle to do so – putting them at risk of homelessness. In June 2014 we opened our Homeless Prevention Service which offers family mediation and advice for young people at risk of becoming homeless. Each year we need to raise £200,000 through fundraising in order to ensure we can continue to be there for young people and end youth homelessness.
