Site Rules Our rules exist to safeguard our fish stocks and ensure that you have a safe enjoyable visit to A1 Pits. These rules are subject to change and most up to date rules can be found on the Catch Report Facebook page. Please read these rules carefully before you fish, as failure to observe the rules or acting in any way, which interferes with others' enjoyment or use of the lakes, will result in the offender being immediately removed. A1 PITS RULES .This is a catch and release complex all fish MUST be returned to the lake's and river unharmed . . Minimum of a 42inch landing nets to be used at all times . Unhooking matt must be suitable and well padded. No metal framed cradles !!! . All anglers must be in the possession of a carp care kit / propolis / carp antiseptic . All wounds should be treated as the direction on the bottle you have. . Barbed and micro barbed hooks only. . No bait boats or drones to be used on the complex at anytime . . No braided mainline apart from marker and spod rods. Minimum of 12lb mainline to be used over the full complex. The OMC twig rig is banned please do not bring this contraption to the complex anyone found using it will be banned. . the use of fire arms on the complex is strictly prohibited anyone found using air rifles hand pistols of any type will be asked to leave. .Shock leader must be used on PITS 5 and 6 this can be tapered mainline or braided shock leader. Regular rig Checks will happen across the complex please don't be offended by this , alot of money has been spent on stock over the last two year and we endeavour to keep the stock in top quality for the next angler lucky to catch them . . No nuts of any kind, particle can be used as long as it is prepared properly. .There is a strict 10mph speed limit around the complex this must be adhered to at all times. .Dogs are allowed on the complex but must be kept under control at all times and all feces to be picked up. .Fishing from designated pegs only if you are unsure please ask the bailifs . . No drugs on the complex . .Alcohol ... no excessive use of alcohol anyone found to be intoxicated while actively fishing will be asked to pack up their tackle and wait till sober then asked to leave the complex when safe to do so. .All anglers must carry a valid EA fishing licence. .On the river trent there are no tents allowed only bivvys . . no keep nets to be used on the river or on the lakes unless in a designated matches organised by the complex . carp sacks are not to be used. fish are to be retained for the minimum amount of time to prepare camera equipment. .Predator fishing the lakes and river are dead bait only. There is no live baiting spinners , lures spoons or jigs to be used ar any time .. There is a STRICT 10MPH speed limit around the complex please stick to this or you will be asked to leave. . No fires allowed. BBQs must be off the floor as to not damage the grass. please dispose of ashes properly and take them with you anyone found emptying them on the grass will result in a ban. . All litter must be taken home with you !! no litter to be left on the complex or in nearby villages.
