The drama started after Duggar shared an update about how her son, Israel, has been dealing with a bad illness this week. The reality star then shared a detail account of everything that happened during her day. This includes describing how Israel was throwing up and losing fluid in the early hours of the morning. “Israel woke me up this morning saying he was about to throw up!” she stated. “We made it to the toilet before [he puked], then it was [bath] time and back to bed.” Jill then revealed that Israel was doing a lot better and had not lost any more fluids. According to In Touch Weekly, she also explained how she gave him a popsicle as a reward for being sick. This is apparently a tradition in the Duggar family, one that she clearly intends to keep alive in her own family. While it is great to know that Israel is doing better, a lot of fans thought Jill was sharing too much information about her personal life on social media. In fact, many fans took issue with Jill talking about her son’s sickness in the first place and wished she had left out the nasty details. They also blasted Jill for giving her son a sugary treat while he is sick. Instead, fans told the Counting On star that she should have opted for some dry bread and soothing tea instead. Fans also thought she shouldn’t have let her other children around Israel, at least not while he was still contagious. Jill Duggar has not commented on the parenting backlash. The controversial post comes shortly after she showed off her new look on Instagram, which included a brand new wardrobe for the reality star.
