** TODAY'S PUZZLE ** An absolutely astonishing sudoku today in which constructor Trevor Nicholas has merged sudoku with Monopoly. And what's so clever about this is that the rules are thematic and related to the game itself (and the puzzle is fairly difficult!) Digits in cages sum to the small clue in the top left corner of the cage. Additionally: • Arrow: Pass Go, Collect $200! Digits on the arrow multiply to 200. • Properties: All property sets, including the Utilities set (gray), contain consecutive digits in any order (eg 2,3,1). Each set contains a different group of digits. • Chance (?): Digits in Chance cells reveal the row, column, and digit (in some combination) of a hidden cell. eg If the Chance digits were 1,2 & 3 the hidden cell would be one of: r1c2=3; r1c3=2; r2c1=3; r2c3=1; r3c1=2; & r3c2=1. • Railroads (RR): Each RR cell connects to one other RR cell through a 1-cell wide “track.” Digits on a track must form a palindrome (digits read the same forwards and backwards) starting & ending with RR cells. Tracks cannot touch themselves/each other orthogonally and cannot pass through properties, cages, or Chance cells.
