Ophilia, The Cleric/Flamesgrace, Guiding Light - Orchestral Arrangement (Octopath Traveler)

I really like Octopath Traveler's soundtrack. For good reason too, it's very reminiscent of the golden age of Square JRPGs to me, back when the composer only had so many tools to work with, so they were forced to write memorable melodies. Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI, and Secret of Mana were all examples of this, and I find Octopath Traveler to be of a similar style (for those familiar, Ophilia's theme really reminds me of Celes's Theme from FFVI). I was instantly hooked on the melodic hooks of Octopath's score. Speaking of which, this is an arrangement of Ophilia's theme, as well as the music to her hometown, Flamesgrace. There is definitely a bittersweet nostalgic quality to Ophilia's theme, with a feeling of hope despite being surrounded by tragedy. And Flamesgrace screams comfort in the midst of a cold, unforgiving landscape. It was my intent to encompass all of these feelings into this arrangement.
