Super Mario The Infection is a horror, creepypasta .exe demo game, created by Mr. Pixel Productions, that's been sadly canceled for some reason & which was released for the first time on Game Jolt, on January 5, 2022. The story of this game is that a disease has invaded the Mushroom Kingdom, which has transformed some inhabitants into monsters that only seek to kill Mario. Your task is to discover what caused the disease and get rid of it, you will be able to save everyone or you will die eaten, it is your decision ... Some of the Goombas has been infected by a deadly fungus that turned them into zombies. They have white eyes, spider legs, sharp teeth & grown mushrooms on their head. You'll see the Goombas & Koopas that hasn't been infected yet, running for their lives & while being scared as hell. The hills will also be infected by this disease, which will turn them into monsters that will eat anything that comes in contact with them, in a gruesome manner. As you progress into the level, the sky will turn into a pitch black, the clouds will have an expression on their faces & you'll notice lots of big mushrooms growing from the ground. There's also a lot of blood covering the ground & pipes, marks left after the zombies eaten the innocent creatures from this world. The demo ends with a message displayed at the end of the level saying: "THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING", followed by the jumpscared of an infected version of Mario.exe, that has mushrooms grown from his orbits & mouth & yellow gums. After he jumpscares you, Mario will die & the game just resets.
