Utrecht is the fourth-largest city of the Netherlands, as well as the capital and the most populous city of the province of Utrecht. Utrecht's ancient city centre features many buildings and structures, several dating as far back as the High Middle Ages. It has been the religious centre of the Netherlands since the 8th century. This film features a predominantly pedestrian tour of the city of Utrecht, which begins at Utrecht Vaartsche Rijn railway station and ends with the departure north from Utrecht Centraal towards Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Many of the city's iconic features and locations are within the film including Utrecht Centraal, Utrecht University, Nieuwegracht, Oosterspoorbaan, Spoorwegmuseum, City Hall, Stadion Galgenwaard and St. Martin's Cathedral.
