Katz's Deli in NYC is one of the most famous restaurants in NYC, maybe one of the most famous restaurants in the world! It's beloved by tourists and locals alike, with many famous people having eaten there. The restaurant became famous due to the Katz Deli When Harry Met Sally scene, but even then Katz's Deli was the oldest deli in NYC and the oldest Jewish deli in New York City and it had beloved patrons dating back to 1888. Katz's Deli's pastrami on rye is one of the best pastrami on rye sandwiches in NYC. They have the best pastrami in New York City, and they also make some of the best corned beef in NYC. I would even go so far as to say Katz's Deli makes the best pastrami in the USA and the best pastrami in the world. However, due to their amazing reputation, they charge a whopping $26 per sandwich now. Some people decry that Katz's Deli is overrated and Katz's Deli is overpriced. Is Katz's Deli overrated?
