Game: Hokuto no Ken: Shin Seikimatsu Kyuuseishu Densetsu System: Sega Genesis Version: (JP) Eng-Translation This is the longplay of the game Hokuto no Ken: Shin Seikimatsu Kyūseishu Densetsu: Hokuto no Ken (lit. "Fist of the North Star: The New Legend of the Post-Apocalyptic Messiah"), a side-scrolling action game produced and distributed by Sega, released exclusively for the Sega Genesis in July 1989 in Japan and the United States and in 1990 in Europe. It is the second Hokuto no Ken video game released by Sega and serves as a sequel to their previous Hokuto no Ken video game released for the Mark III (Japanese Master System), which in the West was called Black Belt. The plot picks up where the previous game left off, after the defeat of Raoh, and adapts the Tentei and Shura no Kuni story arcs from the original manga. In the game we control Kenshiro, protagonist of the saga, in an arc that is based on the last chapters of the manga (more precisely between chapters 137-210), part of which was made into an anime called Hokuto no Ken 2. Kenshiro needs to go through the stages , beat enemies and bosses. Each chapter has several phases, which need to be covered on a map and in addition to defeating enemies, the hero needs to find his allies and interact with them to strengthen himself and continue the story. The game has good graphics, but gameplay is a little slow, but relatively easy to get used to. The hero can use blows to defeat enemies and disarm traps. This is a version translated from Japanese to English by Ernani S. Costa, who not only translated the game but also left the game with a slightly lower difficulty, unlike the original game which is very difficult. The game is better to play with these small improvements. Because it does not have the license for the Hokuto No Ken brand, the West (USA and Europe), the game was called Last Battle, receiving censorship and having the characters' names changed, but maintaining the same story. This video shows the Japanese version. Hope you like it.
