S1 – Ep 264 – Campbell – A Small Village on the Ghaap Plateau!

The drive we from Douglas to Campbell took us on a wet gravel road which was so rewarding! We saw springbok, ostriches and for the first time ever black impala! I never knew they even existed, they were absolutely beautiful. When arriving in this small village which is located on the Ghaap Plateau, we went directly to the old church built by Reverend John Bartlett in 1831. It was so amazing, to think David Livingstone even preached at this church. We drove through the little settlement and found it to be a treasure trove of interesting information. Another church, built in 1943, was a striking reminder of the mission station history of this settlement.
