When I saw the budget Hatfield Shotguns at Walmart for $99 I was intrigued. I looked around online and most people said they were decent for the price but kicked like mules and had very heavy triggers. Supposedly they are made by Khan in Turkey who also made my Mossberg Maverick which I am very please with for the price. I decided to buy one and see how bad they could possibly be. The bad news was the stock was loose in the box and the trigger was very stiff. I did some tinkering and tightened the stock and figured out a way to lighten the trigger pull with nothing more than standard tools and a dab of locktite. If you'd like to try this on your gun you will need. 1/2" Socket on a 6" Extension #2 Phillips Screwdriver Blue Locktite Some Moly-Lube Grease (Or regular gun grease) By lightening the hammer spring you lighten the hammer but you may need to fine tune your adjustment to ensure reliable ignition due to the rebounding hammer safety on this gun. Once you have your trigger set how you want it locktite it in place and it should be good to go.
