Florida Flagfish Might Be Too Aggressive For Community Tank

This is my first time keeping Florida flagfish (aka American flagfish). I've been having black beard algae issues in my 40 gallon planted livebearer community tank and figured I'd try flagfish which are among the best algae eaters. I also thought they're cool looking and would make a nice addition to the community tank. After one day in the tank I'm noticing that they might be too aggressive. As a result it's likely that I'll have to go with plan B. Instead of bringing algae eaters to tanks with algae issues, I think I'll try to set up a dedicated tank just for algae eaters and bring algae covered plants to them.
