RALPH PUCCI (london) | Pepa Ubera | Dance

Artist Pepa Ubera choreographs a performance inspired by Marjorie Salvaterra’s photography exhibition at RALPH PUCCI (london). Ubera developed the original composition, titled, “Violet Hour,” after witnessing Salvaterra’s ongoing exploration of womanhood and her power to transmute a fleeting moment into lasting imagery. Ubera shares, “…we observe a group of people [the dancers] looking at a photograph, soon⁣ realizing they are in exactly the same position as the people in the photo. A dialogue unfolds between them, sometimes in a casual way, sometimes poetic, sometimes with questions and contradictions…” ⁣ Ubera orchestrates a connection between the dancers, the gallery space, and the art within, ultimately enhancing the experience and understanding of the work presented. ⁣ Choreography: Pepa Ubera Performers: Flora Baltz and Chiara Pagani Videography: Aurelia Bergs⁣ Editing: Marti Arbaizar
