In this Balanced Body Allegro 2 Pilates Reformer Spine Articulation workout, I have included tips and unique variations of Pilates Reformer spine articulation exercises. By articulating one piece of your spine at a time, you add active control to your spine through flexion and extension. ◎ Pilates Bridge Spine Articulation: 2 Red Springs- Lying on your back, you can articulate more with your feet elevated and increasing mobility and control as you roll up and replace your vertebra all the way back down. ◎ Seated Spine Articulation: 1 Red Spring- Seated facing the end of the Reformer, you can hold onto the ropes and add a seated C Curve, which is a controlled rolling of the spine one vertebra at a time. ◎ Hanging Spine Waves: 1 Blue Spring- Stay in an overhead hanging arm position holding onto the tower or risers as you articulate your spine into a Cat position and then reverse the spine wave back to the start. ◎ Short Spine: 1 Red 1 Blue Spring- With your feet in straps, you can hinge from your hips and use the spring resistance to guide you through this loaded flexion Spine Articulation exercise.
