Wifi's Revenge: Wifisfuneral on Leaking 'Boy Who Cried Wolf' and The Crowdsurfing Incident

'Boy Who Cried Wolf,' the latest release from Wifisfuneral, is an amazing piece of work. But the project's sudden release has raised questions about why the Bronx-born spitter, who made a name for himself in the hotbed of hip hop that is South Florida before signing a record deal with Alamo / Interscope, would leak his own tape. During a recent visit to MASS APPEAL HQ, Wifi kept it real as usual, explaining the thought process behind his decision. In a nutshell, he was sick of waiting around for the label. Having blown up as an independent artist accustomed to dropping music at will via SoundCloud, he grew frustrated with Alamo, citing poor communication. He says things are cool with the label now, but it seems he got their attention. Check the video up top. Elsewhere in the video interview Wifi also shared what went through his mind when his crowd-surfing adventure went horribly wrong and he was stomped out by a rowdy crowd. Rejecting theories that he might have accidentally kicked an audience member in the head, Wifi said he had been deliberately targeted, perhaps because the assailant was trying to get at "someone else." He ended up in the hospital with his head split open, but he's all better now—and says he believes the mishap was actually good for his career. Check the video up top.
