My Alaska to Argentina Bike Build

For my Alaska to Argentina ride I decided to build my own bike. It was the first bike I ever build and in this video I go over my decisions for each component. I figured building my bike would help me learn bike maintenance and allow me to end up with exactly the kind of bike that I wanted. Well, I did learn a lot and there are many aspects of the bike that I like, but it's far from perfect. Some might say "It's foolish to learn bike building on a bike you plan on riding across the planet." To them I say, "You're probably right, but it's too late to turn back now." Even so, it's made it this far, who knows, maybe it'll go all the way.
