AWESOME 1/5 SCALE De HAVILAND MOSQUITO WW2 FIGHTER BOMBER - TWIN DLE 55cc PETROLS JOHN NLMFC - 2021

PILOT / OWN DESIGNER / BUILDER / PAINTER / OWNER - JOHN GREENFIELD, Our Mosquitos are scratch built from our own plans and are to 1/5th scale. All built up wood construction but with fibreglass cowls to house the DLE 55 motors which are fitted with home made silencers to keep them nice and quiet. Retracts are also home made and are fully sprung. Radio is Futaba with a right old mix of Savox and Hi-Tec servos. weight - 20.3kg + 800g of fuel. The models were finished in 25g glass cloth and G4 and then panel lines, surface detail etc was added and then they were sprayed by ourselves in my workshop. There are two mosquitos built the same, just different Reg numbers. They were built as a team build by Ghost Squadron team member Tony Hazelhurst and myself. He built the fuselages and tails and I built the wings and undercarriages.
