Kirkcaldy to Aberdour on the Fife Coastal Path

A coastal walk in Scotland's East Neuk of Fife offering wonderful views over the Firth of Forth. The Fife Coastal Path runs for about 114 miles between Kincardine and Newburgh, passing through little coastal villages and towns like Culross, Burntisland, Lower Largo, Anstruther, St. Andrews, and many more. Today's walk is around 9 miles long. Starting in Kirkcaldy, we head south by the ruins of Seafield Tower towards Kinghorn and have a seat by the old church. Views across the Firth of Forth towards Edinburgh, Arthur Seat and even the Pentland Hills are quite simply stunning. We pass Pettycur and make our way by a broad sandy bay into Burntisland before heading further west by Silversands Bay into Aberdour. A truly magnificent walk that offers everything you could ever hope for in a coastal walk: pretty little fishing villages and lapping waves and ancient crumbling towers and the joy of a dander by the sea.
