Currently, the plans are for it to be demolished except for the structures housing both JCPenney and Macy's, who will remain anchor tenants. The creation of a mixed retail space, offices, and open air recreational areas are currently planned for the site. The walk begins at the south mall entrance near JCPenney and winds throughout the entire space, including both floors. Only a handful of tenants remained during filming on this day, the day before the mall officially closed.
