Lucinda asked me to test this upcoming level, so I did. This playthrough will go public once it's released. From what I can tell, not a whole lot seems to have changed in this new version of the level, but a few spots seem to have been added to hide GCs. Most of them are out in the open, though a few have somewhat creative challenges to them. And I appreciate the use of green detector targets to make the hardest two easier to find. The red key also isn't placed in such a weird spot anymore. And the map powerup is now present. It makes navigation easier. The hologram was moved to an earlier place, too. It's not used for much, but it's a necessity for 50 GC levels. Finally, the volume balance of the music is better, so it's more pleasant to listen to now. I'm not super enthusiastic about this level, simply because it's not that different from the original, which I thought was simply decent. But it does make for a somewhat better experience now. I'd say it renders the original obsolete. Unfortunately, this isn't quite a 100% playthrough. There's a small secret hidden behind a really difficult jump that I gave up on doing because it seemed unlikely there would be anything there. Normally, I'd fire up the game again and return to get it after such a discovery, but thanks to there being a save point after the point of no return, I can't do that. And replaying the level just for that doesn't seem worth it. I really don't think the level needed that last save point. At that point, there's little in the way of danger left.
