SJSU Digital Media Art BFA Show Fall 2019 Project "OUTSET" 启程 3d printed zoetrope Date: 2019 Fall Roll: 3D modeling&animation&printing&crafting: Qiling Ma Strobelight design&crafting: Yit-Voon Yap Materials: 3d printing PLA, acrylic, wood, record player, led light, Arduino board, foam boards. Outset is a 3d zoetrope reflecting the journey of finding self-identity. While I was growing up, I was influenced by both the expectations of my family and mainstream society. I felt lost and constrained. Finding self-identity was an important lesson for me. The zoetrope depicts the process of birds growing up from their families and escaping from the cage to start their new journeys of life. This process represents people finding themselves, breaking constraints, while finally finding and pursuing their goals, following their hearts. Only we can define who we are, and this work represents that finding to me. 在我成长的过程中， 身边总会有各种各样的声音， 来自家长的，朋友的，抑或是社会主流的 这些声音引导着，也约束着我 告诉我应该成为一个怎样的人 这几年花了一些时间走了些弯路 慢慢才越来越发现自己要成为怎样的自己 虽然DMA这个专业不知道前途如何 感觉像是终于在对的路上 所以有了这个毕业作品 找到自己 才算是新的启程
