Philippine Coast Guard Made a HISTORIC and SUCCESSFUL Resupply Mission

The Philippine Coast Guard, made a successful and historic resupply mission on July 2 on several features in the West Philippines sea, which controlled by Manila. This is the first resupply mission this year, which Chinese coast guard failed to challenge the Philippine Coast Guard resupply mission. Outnumbered by the Philippine Coast Guard ship, which deployed 3 PCG vessels, the two Chinese Coast guard ship couldn’t oppose the resupply mission, and couldn’t do anything but just roam around watching, as the resupply mission successfully delivered. It was truly an exceptional occurrence in the West Philippine Sea on the second of July, as four PCG vessels were nestled together, creating a remarkable sight. The three 44-meter smaller coast guard patrol vessels, joined its mothership BRP Teresa Magbanua at Escoda Shoal. After successfully completing their resupply missions at various maritime features, where the PCG has Coast Guard Sub-stations, before heading back to Philippine mainland. The Philippine Coast Guard with the support of all Filipinos, fills with immense pride, to witness their vessels proudly flying the Philippine flag in the West Philippine Sea. These serve as a symbol of Philippines unwavering commitment to maintain and assert their rightful position in the West Philippine Sea. The Philippine Coast Guard earned the ire of China once again, after the latter saw an increased presence of PCG ships patrolling waters off the Escoda Shoal on Monday. Chinese state tabloid Global Times, citing on-site images reported, that aside from transporting fresh water, fuel, and food. One of PCG’s smaller vessels also successfully delivered suspected building materials like cement to BRP Teresa Magbanua. In Chinese narrative, some experts told the Global Times that the Philippines aims to turn Escoda Shoal into a maritime base. As what China say, for illegally supplying Second Thomas shoal and a foothold for conducting infringement activities in the South China Sea. However, this move will only increase China's law enforcement presence at Escoda Shoal according to China. The Philippine ship asserting its presence at Escoda Shoal is the Philippine Coast Guard's largest vessel, the BRP Teresa Magbanua. This ship was built by Japan's Mitsubishi Shipbuilding based on the Japan Coast Guard's Kunigami-class patrol vessel. Japanese media reports indicate that the ship is approximately 96 meters long, with a gross tonnage of nearly 2,300 tons, and can carry up to 67 crew members, with an endurance of up to 15 days.
